I saw my surgeon today in Charleston and he said that I was doing well. He didn't even complain about my weight loss (which seems to have stabalized.) He did suggest that I get more exercise and I asked him about water aerobics. He said that would be great exercise. Hopefully, I can start again in a week or so, as soon as I get a little more strength back. He also took out the clamps in my stomach and one of the remaining stitches in my back. Ill send a few pictures of the scars.

I got word a few days ago that a good friend, Frank Brown, had a stroke over the weekend. He was traveling with his son in Alabama and they took him to the hospital and then transferred him to Grady Hospital in Atlanta after they got him stabalized. It would appear that Frank did not suffer any permanent damage and they hope he will be able to come back to Columbia around the end of this week. Some of you at the Drew Pool (where I do my water aerobics) will remember Frank. He is the 96 year old that I brought to the pool late last year. I told him that all you ladies would welcome him back when he got better!

Another old friend and his wife visited me yesterday afternoon. I have known Jay and Marlene for years and she brought me one of her famous meat loafs. This should help with my weight gain...

The cats are going crazy again and I will send along a few pictures. I think I have more pictures of these cats than I do my kids!

That's it for now. Thanks for the great comments. I owe some of you a longer reply---

  2. Brother Bernie,

Those pictures are NASTY...man, they really cut you up. Ugh! But, the outcome is a good thing. Keep on trucking and continue getting well.

BK..BTW/this blog thing sucks. I, personally, hate it. Why don't you just go back to sending and answering e-mail? What, you have lots of time on your hands, yes?!

Chris's wife, Kim is due on Friday...our first Gaudi GIRL grandchild. Prayers please.

  4. Hey man, you're looking pretty good for what you've experienced. Those are some pretty large scars. Probably won't be going to the beach without a shirt for a while eh? I've gotten pretty used to mine. Just consider it a battle scar. Keep up the good work.

  6. Your cats are your kids! They just have more hair and have two sets of vocal cords. They give you great joy and comfort. If your kids lived with you, you would have more photos of them with the cats. Adrianna

  7. Man that is a body...I think you need to rate this blog x rated. I think for exercise, maybe you should get into mud wrestling. If you want depression, come back to work for Eaton.
