Week Four - Wednesday

I had a fair day today. The sun was shining and it wasn't too cold. I also haven't had much pain in my chest or stomach but I'm starting to have a few twinges now that I've had dinner.

Terry and one of the other ladies staying at the Hope Lodge went out to dinner tonight. I'm glad that she gets to go out now and then and doesn't have to stay cooped up with me all of the time. She said they were going back to the Italian restaurant she went to the other night and I hope the food is good again. (She just got back and said it was delicious!)

I have chemo and radiation tomorrow and I'm not sure what to expect. This will be only the second time I've had chemo. The first time wasn't too bad. Great news, Medicare approved my chemo drug! We just heard late today. That's a load off the pocket book!

My friend from Beaufort, SC had a meeting in Charleston today and he stopped by for a visit when it was over. It's been a while since I've seen Jay and it was good to see him again.

I had some nice comments to my last blog from Shelley, Marleen, Bobbi, Dan and Diane. I was very glad to note that Dan had been in touch with our mutual friend, Nelson. I've tried to call Nelson several times without success and was beginning to worry.

I owe several people emails and will try to catch up this weekend. I'm over the hump for this week and hope I will be able to go home again on Friday. Terry is a little worried that I may be sick after my chemo tomorrow and might have to spend the weekend here. I'll let you know--

  2. "The Beard and the Bullseye"!!
Now that's a good title, you champion writer!

Can you believe you're about to finish up
Week Four?! See there, time DOES pass...
especially when you're having so much fun.

Yeah, throw in 8 inches of snow in SC and
it gets fun!! Knock off Thursday and Friday
and yippeee! ONE more week. Now that's
    doable, right?!

Eat what you can, sleep when you can, and
keep this blog coming. We're all pulling
for you, buddy! We love you, man! Dottie

  3. Good to hear about the drug coverage. You surely don't need that hanging over your head. Hopefully your chemo reaction will be mild. Keep up the good work.
