Week Four - Tuesday

The sun was out today in Charleston but it was cold and windy. Not much new going on so I will keep this short and maybe send a few more pictures. I saw my radiation doctor today and he said that there would be a break of four weeks after my last treatment and a series of scans that will determine if the cancer has shrunk, stayed the same or grown. He said that there was a 30% chance that it would be gone or undetectable. Even if appears to be gone, they will still operate.

We are still watching the Olympics. I stayed up and watched the finals in Ice Dancing last night. I enjoyed the competition but it made my angry that they strung everthing out the keep me watching until midnight. I won't make that mistake again tonight!

I'm posted some pictures of the cats that Terry and I adopted. They are presently with a foster family and we hope to get them back soon. It turned out that the kitten had ring worm and she gave it to Terry and to me. We couldn't get rid of it and the foster family is now working with a vet to get everlything cleared up. This was for the best since it would have been difficult to care for them with us being in Charleston every week Sunday - Friday.

  1. Terri!
I am so envious of the pics of you cuddling the kitties. I know you may have some allergies, but years ago, (before I had my Marko German Shepherd) I had lovely gentle German Shepherds who LOVED my kitties and I had two adorable ones that my dogs totally protected and loved.
The kitties are such furballs and fur therapy!

    Ah well...

Anyhow, continue to let us know how the week progresses. I am in a cooking mood, so let me know when you will return. I will try a new and unusual soup, or perhaps more minestrone! Got to check my recipe book...

Love you both, be good, and take care,

    Shelley and George

  2. Hurray for cats...sorry about the ringworm! Jay just forwarded the blog, otherwise I'd not find out much...he forgets to pass on news. You will see him today. Looks like you got a bunch of snow too. What did you name the cats BTW?

  3. Nothing like a nice lap cat to make you feel better. They are great at napping too, and will help you nap in a hurry. Enjoy the sunshine this week, and the flowers will be up before you know it. Bobbi & the Drew swimmers

  4. Water Arobic classes are being overrun with the ladies. Need you back to bolster the male group. Talked to Nelson today and he said to say Hi. Like you, Diane and I just got a kitten. Can't keep her off of our lap so we call her PITA (pain in the ---), cute as a button.
