I am trying to determine what the name of the plant is in these pictures. As you can see, it is really a bush and it bloomed this year in early May with beautiful flowers covering every branch. When the flowers finally faded, they were replaced by green seed pods that eventually turned purple then black. I will try to attached some pictures of the various stages from bloom through seed.
Today has been a good day and I got into a discussion about plants with Bobbi during my water aerobics class. For those of you that follow this blog, that are also interested in flowers, Bobbi identified the Pineapple Lily that I had on an earlier blog. I am also trying to identify the plant with blue flowers that I posted in my yesterday's blog.
This afternoon I attended a board meeting of the Gills Creek Watershed Association. This was the first meeting I attended since I found out I had cancer and I was very impressed on how much our organization had grown and what was accomplished during the last 7 months.
My good friend, Mike, also asked about the picture of the cats. The black and gold trimmed object is my NRA hat that Chicky seems to like.
Terry fixed me a great dinner tonight and I was even able to eat a small second helping! I think I am finally getting better.
Bernie, so glad to hear you got to eat a normal meal with seconds. I'm sure you & Terry were both very pleased. I also just found your mystery plant Baptisia or wild blue indigo! Plant the seeds in the fall in a sunny place! See you tomorrow, Bobbi
ReplyDeleteBernie- I'm impressed with 2 entries on your blog in 3 days. Glad that pipe remains open. Maybe with more use it will feel more normal.Have a nice weekend with Scott.....Bob Mc
