Sunday, July 18, 2010

It has been over a week since I wrote in my blog and some of you may be wondering what happened to me. Well, I have sure had better weeks and I hope that things start looking up for a while. I'm tired of being sick and want to get back to a more normal lifestyle.

Last weekend my throat started to close up again and by Sunday I couldn't swallow anything but liquids. Things went downhill from there and by Tuesday, I couldn't swallow anything. We made another appointment with my doctor in Charleston and went down Wednesday morning for another stretching operation. The operation went well and I was able to start eating again Wednesday evening. I ate well on Thursday but by Friday things started to plug up in my stomach. I finally got that problem cleared up but have had a stomach ache ever since. Things are a little better tonight and I hope tomorrow will be a better day!

I have posted a few cat and flower pictures. It has been very hot here but we have had some rain. It is forecasted to be in the 90-100 range for all of next week. I have lost so much weight that the heat doesn't really bother me that much. I'm going to try to gain a few pounds this week.

  1. Bernie- what a bad deal. I don't know why they don't stretch it every week until it takes a permanent set. Good luck....Bob

  3. You just stay cool and comfy
and ... do like the kitty cats.
That is, do just what the darn heck
you feel like and don't if you don't!!
Hey, isn't that what summertime's for
anyway? I'm with Bob. Wish we could
do something to keep that new esophogus
of yours wide open. It's not being kind
to OUR MAN!! Stay cool. love you, Dottie

  4. Let's hope for some better days. The cats look like great companions for nap time!I get sleepy just looking at the one sprawled on the chair. Keeping it warm for you? Stay in and keep cool, and this too shall pass. Bobbi
