Monday - July 26,2010

I have to go back to Charleston tomorrow to see my surgeon for a regular check-up. We don't have to be there until 9:30 so we won't have to leave in the middle of the night like we usually do when I have my esophagus stretched. Terry wants to be on the road at 7:00 so that isn't too bad.

I've been having a little trouble swallowing today so I hope my throat isn't closing up again! I don't think the doctor can really tell without doing a swallow test or putting a tube down my throat. None of those procedures are scheduled for tomorrow so I just talk to him and see what he thinks.

I had a fair weekend and was able to visit a few people who are recovering from various medical problems. My neighbor, Becky, had knee replacement surgery and my 96 year old friend, Frank, is recovering from a stroke. They are both doing well.

I still don't have any appetite but am forcing myself to eat 2-3 times a day. I should be eating more and hopefully my surgeon will have some suggestions. It's amazing that I just can't think of a single thing that I would like to eat and I rarely even feel hungry. Boy, if I could figure out how to package and sell what is causing this, I could make a fortune.

I am posting a few pictures of my flowers and cats. The last two pictures are of a lily that I think is a Crinium but it is strange looking and I'm not sure what it will look like when it is fully open. Do any of you have any ideas of what this plant is? Bobbi?
