This is Tana, Bernie's daughter.
We wanted to update everyone who has been holding Bernie in their thoughts.
He is out of surgery and doing well.
The surgery was supposed to be 5-6 hours but ended up taking over 8 hours.
We were all starting to worry, but the doctors said they just wanted to be sure that they got all the abnormal cells. They said he did well and is now in the recovery room.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. The support has been amazing.
We all appreciate it.
Please hold all calls and emails as mom hasn't slept much and needs to rest a bit.
