Not much happened this weekend. I'm still hurting so I stayed close to home and didn't do much. I took a few more pictures of the cats and some of the flowers that are blooming now that it is getting a little warmer. I planted 50 tulip bulbs last fall and they are up but not blooming yet. These are supposed to be perennial tulips but I will believe this when I see it. Because of the heat, tulips are usually treated as annuals in the south.
I also finished the book I was reading and started another one. I think I have most of the books written by Wilbur Smith, Clive Cussler, Jack DuBrul, James Rollins, Randy Wayne White, John Jakes, Hemmingway, Poe, Terry Goodkind, Robert Ruark, Dan Brown and a ton of science fiction writers. I like to collect books and I often read them over again. Terry is worried about my "collections of junk" and would like to seem me get rid of a bunch of my books. Last year she convinced me to give the local library my collection of cook books - many of which dated back to my mother's time. I think there were over 300 books in the collection. I keep telling her that some of my books are valuable but she doesn't want to hear it.
I better get this posted or it won't be Monday any more! How do you like day light saving time? I wish we would just stick one system and be done with it!
Gee you got flowers blooming already?
ReplyDeleteDont worry about suff Bernie...books or comic books...someone in the family wants them- fine. You got the value out of them....and enjoyment. Hope you get some relief from the pain. Cancer is a demon...one day in eternity you will not have this problem.

Bernie, I loved meeting the kitties....they are beautiful and very sweet....much fun to watch Chicky. Your walls and flower beds are lovely; they have done an outstanding job....the builder is a real artist. Was good to see you and Terry. I think that you look really good, even with the beard! Hope the pain is less and that you can continue to eat well and gain a bit more weight before your surgery. Please let me know if I can help you two in any way...Terry is doing a great job helping you...and I know you must be looking forward to Scott's visit, and that you wish Tania could be here also. love to you both, becky
