Tonight is our last night at the Hope Lodge and Terry has been packing our things so we can get an early start for home tomorrow. I still have my last radiation treatment and meeting with my radiation doctor and I hope we can then depart before noon for Columbia. I took a few pictures of Terry packing that I will post here.
I also took a few pictures of the outside of the Hope Lodge which consists of 4 houses that have been made into one big one. I'm not sure how many sq. ft. are under roof, but it is a bunch. The maintenience bill for this place must also be tremendous.
Today has not been one of my better days and I don't feel very good tonight either. However, the end is near and I can't wait to get home. As an added bonus, the two cats that we adopted are coming back home on Saturday. I can use the fur power!
dad,
ReplyDeletelooks beautiful there. you even had a fireplace in your room?
glad the furry kids are coming home. that'll take your mind off of the yucky stuff.
my furry daughter obviously thinks she's a puppy because i came home to a piece of scratch paper left on the floor torn to bits!
well at least she entertains herself in my absence. i'm SO glad it's almost Friday.
let me know if you would prefer i come visit before or after surgery cuz it's going to be super busy at work from now on.
tell me when the Azaelas come out!
love Tan
ps- i'll be expecting cat pics!
Bernie, thank you so much for writing your blog AND for sending the great pictures! The Hope Lodge looks (and sounds!)like a fantastic place. Wouldn't you KNOW Terry would do something special for the Lodge a well as for the technicians who have been such a vital part of your recovery!! I'll be glad to have you all home again. I'm excited about the kitties return on Saturday!! So glad (but not surprised) that you're coping with such a difficult situation so well. And how wonderful to have Terry's support and TLC throughout. Miss y'all!! love to you both, Becky
