Week Two - Friday (con't.)

I hit a wrong key and my blog got published before I was finished---

What I was saying before being so rudely interrupted was --

The doctor said that my stomach was probably telling me: "For 70 years you haven't used these muscles; why are you starting to use them now?" He is probably right but I think I will continue with the Qigong anyway but I sure do have a good excuse to quit if I want to.

Other that my stomach, I still feel pretty good but I get tired easier. I can't seem to walk very far anymore but I guess that is caused by the radiation treatments that I have every day.

I'm now 40% through with the treatments - only three more weeks to go. I have chemo and readiation next week and I'm told that I might start to loose my hair soon. Darn, I was just starting to like my new beard!

I'm going to try to send some pictures this weekend.

  2. Bernie, you make me feel good knowing that I am not the only one to hit the wrong button at the wrong time. I frequently find myself sending emails that I have not finished.

Dad and I are glad things are going well. Keep up the good work.

  3. Hey Bernie, glad you're moving forward and making good progress. We're going to lower our house so I don't have to take all of those steps. I'm not real quick on my feet anymore. We plan to do some re-modeling after that. Thanks for keeping your blog current so Debbie and I can keep praying and thinking about you. Love you, Mike and Debbie

  4. Bernie, I had not seen that photo of your greenhouse....the orchids are lovely...and reflect your love for them and their beauty. It was so great to see you and Terry, even briefly Friday afternoon; the Cleopatra ballet was so enjoyable...such athleticism combined with the ART of dancing; both were integrated into a beatiful program. Frannie, Marty, Ella, and another friend went with me.....you, yourself, would have loved it. USC didn't play well against Tenn; I'm going to the game on Wednesday. Played bridge this p.m. with friends and called you and Terry when I got home, but realized that you probably had already left for Chas'ton. I was going to bring over a few of the latet copies of Scientific America for you to enjoy this week, although I'm sure you have plenty to read. I'm so glad that you are looking good, eating well, and are able to rest as needed. Let me know what I can do to help you and Terry. love, becky (I do anonymous because I don't know how to set up my name!)
