Here we are at the Hope Lodge

We arrived in Charleston around 1:30 and checked in at the Hope Lodge. Someone helped us move our stuff to our room after we registered. It seems like we moved most of the contents of our home down here! Everyone is really nice and very helpful.

At 3:30 I had my first radiation treatment and it didn't seem like a big deal. They zapped me from several different directions and I guess it all went according to plan. I didn't smell any burnt hair or flesh but God knows what happened on the inside of me!

Tomorrow, I have my first chemo treatment and then radiation again in the afternoon. Sounds like a fun day!
Wish you were here--
Bernie

  4. Bernie,

Dad left for Florida this morning with my brother, Dennis. He had hoped to send you a message before leaving but was having some computer problems and time caught up with him. He and the rest of the Brown family want to be a part of your fan club while you are in Charleston and when you return. Thanks for keeping us abreast of your progress.

Best wishes from all of us,

Frank Brown (the younger, but not necessarily wiser, one)
